Laura Nicotra joined Forward Architects in 2022 where she focuses on design projects for the studio. She adopts an empathic approach to design, reading between the lines of what her clients are after, and formulating the brief based on close communication throughout each process.

Originally from Sicily, where she is a member of the Chamber of Architects of Catania, Laura graduated from a Masters Degree in Architecture at Universita’ degli studi di Catania in 2017. She soon after moved to Malta, gaining experience in various architecture design practices. She has sinced obtained her perit warrant and has been involved in small to medium scale projects, mostly within the remits of residential and hospitality.

Her approach to design reflects her problem-solving nature and meticulous attention to detail. She seeks to design spaces which are conscious of their users’ needs and desires, prioritizing liveability and familiarity as values for her work. She derives this from her passion for creative pursuits and her curiosity in culinary practice.
