Nikki graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and Civil Engineering Honours Degree in 2008 from the University of Malta. Throughout her University years, Nikki steadily gained experience as a trainee with G M W Architects based in London; within a design team responsible for master planning and concept design of various international projects including St. John’s Hotel in Leicester Square, Gladstone in Wimbledon, Four Towers in Dubai and Townplan in Aielli, Italy.

She joined Spacestudio as a junior architect in 2008, as part of the design team for the preparation of concept design, detail drawings and site supervision for architectural and interior projects. This included the development of a masterplan for a complex of five high-end villas in Bahar ic-Caghaq and the refurbishment of the McDonald’s outlet in Valletta.

Nikki moved on to join Forward Architects since its inception in 2011, as a senior architect and the lead designer, taking on an active role in the design development of commercial and private projects, from concept development to detail design development and site supervision.

In the past few years Nikki has coordinated the rehabilitation of a number of private and semi-public historical palazzos including 10 Strait Street and the Rosselli, the interior design of high-end, contemporary residential villas and apartments including Villa B and a Portomaso penthouse.  Nikki is also highly influential in Forward’s architectural proposals.

In 2018 Nikki became Associate Partner and Resource Director at Forward Architects.

Nikki obtained her warrant as perit in 2010.
