Casumo
Casumo’s brief revolved around a design approach which seeks to shape a creative, playful office environment. The reception area was to be no exception: Quoting Casumo: ‘We could have chosen a normal squared reception desk, but we chose a jellybean instead. We could have had a normal door, but then we wouldn’t have a good reason to have those Game of Thrones guys here for the opening.”
The main three design elements that define the space are the reception desk, the suspended fixtures and the main entrance door. These were sculpted around Casumo’s Fat and Cute design philosophy, to create an eye-catching entrance to their home or castle as they prefer to name it.
The materials of all the main furnishings are curated to achieve a cohesive look, with a craftsman’s precision in shaping the furnishings. The teak main entrance door is designed to symbolically engrave Casumo and its stories within the surface of the door making it look like it came out of a Peter Jackson film. The suspended copper light fitting overhangs the jelly bean and the welcoming reception area.
Welcome to Casumo – the creative playful office.
